September 2016 : EID MUBARAK
Some of our parents and carers made Eid food for all our pupils to taste, helping to raise some money for our school funds.
June 2016 Our Parent Council Summer Fair was a great success, with pony rides this year, in addition to the usual stalls, Bouncy Castle, Raffle etc, raising a lot of money for school funds.

February 2016 We worked with Rookie Rockstars and recorded a CD. Our pupils then performed the songs they had recorded at an evening concert for parents and carers. Click here to see photos, or visit the Rookie Rock star website by clicking here.
We were invited to be part of the studio audience at BBC's Children in Need on Fri 13th November 2015.

Thornwood Primary hosted an Athletics event, sponsored by Partick Housing Association, improving our community links.
May 2015
Some of our classes were invited to the BBC to take part in 'The Big Holiday Quiz'. P3 beat the BBC presenters!
Our Parent Council asked pupils to design posters to highlight the problem of dog fouling in the local area. The best designs were used to make two banners about this issue.
We invited Sandra White MSP to help us unveil then banners and then attach them to our school railings.
Thank you to Partick Housing Association who sponsored sports kits for our pupils to wear at sporting competitions.  
In March 2014 Thornwood Primary played host to three local schools for an inter-school football tournament, when the teams got the chance to wear their new kits.  The pupils were all presented with medals.

This time it was althletics and it was a great success.
